Alexander Tannen was born in Philadelphia PA. His artistic path has been deeply intertwined in his life from a young age. Attending C.A.P.A for high school and majoring in Visual Arts was a fundamental decision towards dedicating his approach to life with art at it’s core.

Alex was accepted to the Pennsylvania Governor’s Schools for the Arts during high school where he majored in Architecture, his first major exposure to the world of design.

College for Creative Studies awarded him a scholarship to attend the school in 2008. He received a BFA in Automotive Design in 2012 and was hired at FCA where he has worked for 6 years in numerous brands. While working in the Jeep Brand, Alex was leading the design execution for the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Grand Cherokee L for 2 years.

In 2019, Alex received an offer from Mazda in Irvine, CA where he is currently working as a Senior Exterior Designer.
